What is a Headache?
Headache, or in German “Kopfschmerzen” meaning head pain. Whatever you want to call it, it’s no stroll in the park. Headaches are the most common medical condition, with 50-90% of people experiencing at least one in their lifetime. Headaches aren’t just a modern-day affliction either. Around 47 AD Scribonius Largus, physician to Emperor Claudius, prescribed placing a live electric torpedo ray on the patient's forehead until the numbness set in—making it an ancient precursor to modern electroshock/ neurostimulation therapy/ or more commonly known as TENS.
